Job Summary
The incumbent must be able to greet and serve customers in the store in a dynamic and courteous manner. The person will also have to receive the goods from the various suppliers. They must also ensure compliance with standards and procedures related to health and safety at work.
Main Responsibilities
Respond effectively to customer needs.
Provide personalized customer service from welcoming customers through to the final sale by listening, evaluating, and recommending products to customers that suit their needs.Be
on the lookout for sales opportunities.Offer complementary products.Make special orders when a product is not in stock and follow up on customer complaints.Track customer orders and estimates with the system.Promote the PM card to all applicable transactions.
Fill the shelves.
Pick up missing products in the warehouse or at the reception.Ensure stock management (rotation, inventory, hole report) and product availability.Ensure that the displays are adequate (flyers, promotions, current products).
Merchandizing.
Showcase the merchandise by creating product montages in strategic locations.Carry out price changes according to PM procedures and displays of information and/or technical data sheets relating to the products.Perform the correct placement of products at least twice a day.Ensure the cleanliness of the workplaces.
Required Skills and Qualifications Profile
Training/Experience/Certification
Have a high school diploma.Have 3 to 6 months of experience in retail (asset).
Knowledge
Have a good command of the French language, both orally and written, English (asset).Have the skills to use a computer system.Have knowledge in the renovation field (asset).
Required Skills and Aptitudes
Have good dexterity in handling products.Have a good physical capacity.Have a good ability to make calculations to estimate the necessary quantity of products.Be professional and a good communicator.Have good listening skills, good interpersonal skills, and a good team spirit.
Working Conditions
Variable work schedule.Standing work with frequent movements.Loads of up to 75 pounds to lift.
