**Job Title**: Equipment Operations **Supervisor**

**Location**: Pickering, ON

**Work Hours**:9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday**

**About the role**:

- The Equipment Operations Supervisor is responsible for streamlining the production and manufacturing equipment processes of Extraction within the current Good Production Practices (GPP) framework. This role will play an essential part in spearheading upgrades and preparations, as well as maintaining GPP equipment standards. They will manage extraction equipment, supervise workflow, ensure ongoing GPP compliance, and make strategic preparations for organizational success.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure compliance of all processing equipment to current GPP standards
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance service on Extraction equipment.
- Streamline production and manufacturing processes for optimal process efficiency within the GPP framework.
- Oversee routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and upgrade equipment to align with both current requirements
- Ability to continuously optimize process flow and drive effective identification of root cause and implementation of countermeasures.
- Lead Change Control Management in line with evolving industry standards.
- Collaborate with contractors and manage procurement of equipment and tools relative to workflow.
- Supervise and maintain comprehensive equipment documentation
- Liaise with equipment vendors for procurement, support, and troubleshooting.
- Actively promote a safe working environment and participate in a safety culture and team-based work.
- Work in coordination with the Facility Manager, Director of Product Development & Innovation, and QA department to align processes with GPP
- Control the inventory of extraction consumables and monitor shop tools for expedited repairs.
- Communicate promptly regarding equipment/process challenges and changes,
- Ensure rooms comply with current Health Canada Standards (GPP)
- Represent the Equipment Operations Department at meetings and be available for after-hours support
- Oversee team development through on-the-job training, course recommendations, and consistent coaching/mentoring.
- Responsible for IQ/OQ/PQ of newly commissioned equipment for use in the GPP work areas.
- Work with Facilities on non-GPP process equipment (Chillers, and other ancillary equipment and support systems) to ensure maximum process uptime.
- Execute preventative and reactive maintenance
- Develop equipment budgets for expansion/optimization projects

**Job Requirements**:
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field is preferable.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of extraction equipment, processes, SOPs, and GPP standards.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively, be detail-oriented, and anticipate future industry requirements.
- Excellent organizational, diagnostic/troubleshooting, and project management skills.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Over 5 years of technical/mechanical experience and/or education.
- Experience specializing in extraction within a GPP environment.
- Lean Manufacturing skills (6 SIGMA Black Belt Certification is an asset).
- Experience in a leadership role within a team setting.
- Familiarity with equipment related to thermodynamics/extraction.
- Experience with pumps and compressors is an asset.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check _in accordance with_ local laws and regulations._ Must be legally entitled to work in Canada._
