Southeast Wellness Services is in search of a **Wellness Service Coordinator.**

The **Wellness Service Coordinator **assists eligible NIHB clients in accessing approved NIHB Medical Transportation Benefits. This includes support for travel, accommodations, meals, and in-city transportation for medical purposes.

A full-time or part-time opportunity is available.
- Paid training will be provided at the office or in Winnipeg.

**Responsibilities**:

- As a Dispatcher/Coordinator, you will assist clients from various communities with:

- ** Transportation**: Organizing taxi, medical van, flight, and bus services.
- ** Accommodation**: Setting up hotel bookings.
- ** In-Person Support**:

- Checking clients in and out of the Southeast Wellness Lodge.
- Serving meals.
- Assisting with guest needs.

**Duties**:

- Contact service providers to authorize and book eligible benefits based on prior approvals from the NIHB Regional Office.
- Utilize the NIHB Medical Transportation Record System to administer benefits and record all client interactions.
- Communicate with health providers, service providers, and program staff to assist clients.
- Respond to urgent requests from clients and providers, determining the necessary actions.
- Greet and welcome clients professionally at the Southeast Wellness Lodge.
- Maintain and update the NIHB Medical Transportation Database (MTRS).
- Coordinate travel to ensure timely access to medical care.
- Assist with posting daily events and ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable.
- Comply with Southeast Wellness Lodge policies and legal requirements.
- Document information in logbooks for review and quality assurance.

**Requirements**:

- Related work experience.
- Prior experience in a front desk or similar role.
- Familiarity with office equipment (fax, printer, phone, etc.).
- Proficient in English; knowledge of an Aboriginal language (Cree, Ojibway, etc.) is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Well-organized and able to multi-task.
- Problem-solving skills; resourceful and proactive.
- Customer service-oriented with a professional attitude and appearance.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills.

**Working Conditions**:

- Must have access to a reliable insured vehicle and a valid Manitoba Driver’s License.
- Work primarily in a fast-paced office environment.
- Standard work week of 40 hours; additional hours may be required including holidays.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Medium strength demands (20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds at times, up to 10 pounds some of the time).
- Repetitive desk tasks in a busy environment.
- Familiarity with computers, fax/copier machines, telephones, and scanners.
