Toronto, Canada Downtown Montessori School Full time

In accordance with the Canada Food Guide, the cook will plan and implement a menu that ensures food requirements, restrictions due to special diets, allergies, special occasions, philosophies, all cultures are considered and met.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain a sanitary and safe environment as per current guidelines of Toronto Public Health.
- All checklists and documentation are kept up to date, easily available and filed accordingly.
- Clean and maintain the kitchen environment on a weekly basis.
- Ensure the safe storage and handling of food and equipment.
- Deliver lunch,morning and afternoon snack.
- Load and unload dishwasher and store items.
- Have an awareness of all allergies and Emergency Plans.
- Ability to cook for 65 children under the age of 6.
- Responsible for ordering food supplies, unloading and restocking supplies.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Other duties as assigned by the Center Manager.

**Qualifications**:

- A proven professional approach, work ethic and model best behavior and practices.
- Current certification in Infant/Child Level C-First Aid and CPR
- Complete TB test and immunization records
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Current food handlers certificate

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $28.00 per hour
