**MAINTENANCE PLANNER**

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner's **duties & responsibilities **include some of the following:

- Schedules planned maintenance work using a formal, systematic, and analytical approach.
- Plans the work orders and ensures the correct resources are available to complete the work on-time and as per the plan.
- Manages Maintenance Work Order backlog in CMMS.
- Manages Maintenance costs and budgets.
- Facilitates Routine Week, Down Day and Outage Planning and also schedules the meetings to accomplish it.
- Provides technical support to tradespeople in relation to concepts, recognized and effective working methods.
- Monitors on-time completion of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive (PdM) work orders focusing on Critical and Regulatory inspections.
- Negotiates, orders and schedules predictive, preventive and corrective actions planned with production/maintenance/subcontracting.
- Updates CMMS for new equipment and equipment changes including job plans, equipment listings, and spare parts bill of materials.
- Monitors and reports Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support Asset Reliability Process.
- Conducts field reviews as required and prepares reports on maintenance activities and performance.
- Conducts planning, scheduling and status meetings with the Supervisors, supporting them daily as necessary.
- Develops and improves maintenance reliability process.
- Ensures compliance with safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.

Desired **qualifications and attributes **for the Maintenance Planner includes the following:

- At least **three** to **five** **years** of varied maintenance experience within the heavy manufacturing industry or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of maintenance principles and practices.
- Committed to improving equipment reliability.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in using CMMS would be considered an asset.
- Ability to meet and manage competing deadlines and handle multiple priorities and demands.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledgeable of maintenance and workflow process
- A strong willingness to work in a fast-paced, lean environment where adaptability, innovation and hard work are valued above all else.
