Skilled Handyman/handywoman

We are seeking an ambitious and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a jack-of-all-trades. This skilled person will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks related to residential construction. Tasks may include framing corrections, small carpentry jobs, drywall repairs and touch ups, grouting, trim installation, painting preparation and painting, and a variety of other tasks as assigned. This position requires a diligent, hardworking and proactive individual who enjoys solving problems, completing projects and improving customer experiences. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on-skills, competence with power tools, with the ability to move fluidly from task to task in a busy, fast paced environment. Some work required in home-owner occupied homes where efficiency and customer service is paramount. No travel is required. A minimum of 2 years experience in residential construction required. This is an on-site position servicing 100 townhomes in Georgetown Ontario. M-F 8am to 4:30 pm. Pay related to experience and skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Drywall touch ups
- Large drywall repairs including repairing holes, fanning out uneven surfaces
- Fix leaky faucets, assess plumbing concerns in homeowner occupied homes for professional plumbing repair
- Install lights and fixtures, assess electrical issues for professional repair
- Clean up after messy jobs.
- Small tile repairs, grouting and tile silicone installation
- Small trim repairs, door repairs, installation of doors.
- Efficient repairs in home owner occupied homes.
- Repairs and installation of silicone, caulking, wood filler
- Paint preparation, painting of walls and trim
- Install temporary and permanent thermostats
- Small framing repairs or adjustments
- Other tasks as assigned daily by on-site site supervisor

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $25.00-$26.00 per hour
