The NEO Heart Team in Sudbury is looking for an echocardiography technologist.

Positions are available for full time, part-time, and casual / including weekends.

We are a newly founded cardiology clinic. We will provide a large spectrum of outpatient cardiac diagnostics, including ECG, Holter, stress testing and echocardiography (including stress and contrast studies). The clinic will be led by Dr. Kumar, a well-recognized academic cardiologist with subspeciality training in echocardiography (level 3 fellowship, cardiac CT, cardiac MRI). The clinic will engage in academic activities including teaching and research. The emphasis will be on top-quality care, provided by a friendly, motivated and engaged team.

We are looking for a team player who will share the same values of putting patient care and comfort as top priority. Outstanding bedside manners are a must. French language proficiency is desired but not mandatory. English is mandatory.

The echo lab will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The spectrum of studies performed will include 2D and 3D echo, strain and contrast, as well as exercise stress echo.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform echocardiograms on patients using ultrasound equipment
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions
- Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images
- Analyze and interpret echocardiogram results, looking for abnormalities or signs of disease and provide a preliminary report for MD to review
- Collaborate with physicians to provide accurate and timely reports of findings
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Clean and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning

Qualifications:

- Must have had appropriate training and Canadian certification
- must be fully licensed and ready to practice in Ontario, Canada
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) required, CMRITO required
- Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy related to the cardiovascular system
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret images and data
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and medical staff
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control measures

Must pass the online Ontario Privacy Security Training before starting the position
