Do you love working with Macs? Are you tired of supporting Windows computers?

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist who is adaptable and is enthusiastic at the idea of supporting macOS computers, Linux servers and a heterogenous network infrastructure for our employees working at home.

Your responsibility within our company is to provide IT support in different areas:

- Technical support to our employees (help desk tasks, accounts and passwords management, software and hardware installation, configuration and troubleshooting);
- Systems administration for our internal servers and network equipment;
- FileMaker database support and development.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- **1- Internal Help Desk Support (50%)**_
- Record, prioritize, troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems reported by our employees or generated by our monitoring tools;
- Document, prioritize, close incidents and requests in a timely manner in order to meet defined levels of service;
- Maintain security and access to our internal and external infrastructure following our security policies (user creation, logins and passwords management, general ACLs), in a heterogeneous environment (mostly macOS and Linux, few Windows machines);
- Install, setup, upgrade and maintain macOS workstations including maintaining an inventory, performing system upgrades as well as deploying and supporting common software (MS Office, FileMaker, Adobe CC, Slack, Google Drive, etc.);
- Provide documentation and training (verbal, written, formal) to our employees.
- **2- Systems Administration (30%)**_
- Install, configure and maintain servers and network equipment (servers running Ubuntu and macOS, switches, routers, virtual servers, phones, etc.);
- Manage internal network services (mail, DNS, LDAP, firewall);
- Ensure our backup system is operational for our workstations and our servers;
- Install, deploy and maintain different server-side solutions and services;
- Help develop tools and strategies for optimal capacity and availability (redundancy, failover, disaster recovery);
- Maintain monitoring of our systems and follow escalation process.
- **2- FileMaker / Custom Database Support (20%)**_
- Provide support to our employees for our CRM built with FileMaker;
- Perform data manipulation manually and through scripts;
- Fix and adapt schemas, layouts, relations and reports.

**Qualifications**

Minimum qualifications for this position are:

- Degree in Computer Science or related educational background.
- Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to end-users.
- Excellent professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- 2+ years of experience in any of these fields: macOS support, Systems administration (Linux), FileMaker development

Good knowledge of any of these technologies or concepts is _**an asset**_:

- FileMaker development
- Server-side scripting (bash, python)
- Web development (php, javascript, HTML/CSS)
- SQL language
- Postgres database management, database replication and failover
- ISO 20000, ISO 27001 or ITIL
- Firewalls, security, NATing, IPSec, advanced routing, etc.

**Working conditions**

QuickSeries is a 100% teleworking company. The position is performed during normal business hours from home. However, due to the nature of the position, **the IT Support Specialist may occasionaly need to perform computer and network installations in our branch office in Dollard-des-Ormeaux. **It may also require occasional on-call coverage during off-business hours or Holidays, on rotation.
