**About the Opportunity**:
As the **Procurement & Sourcing Analyst**, you will **analyze business requirements to develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives**, focusing on supplier selection, relationship management, contract negotiations, and quantitative analysis. Your role will drive sourcing strategy optimization, enhance procurement efficiency, and reduce costs through data-driven decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

- **Quantitative Analysis & Optimization**:Conduct in-depth quantitative analysis to determine optimal purchasing parameters, including reorder points, order quantities, and inventory reduction opportunities to support Bourgault’s purchasing team.
- **Sourcing & Supply Chain Reporting**:Assist management in generating comprehensive reports on sourcing and supply chain activities, including budget analysis, to facilitate informed decision-making.
- **Spend Analysis & Improvement**:Analyze spend patterns, current spend data, forecasts, future production plans, and strategic initiatives to identify and implement cost, lead time, and quality improvements.
- **Economic Impact Reporting**:Monitor and report on economic variables affecting spending and forecasts, providing actionable insights to help guide procurement strategies.
- **Data & Planning Integrity**:Develop and maintain tools to ensure the integrity of data and planning within Bourgault’s MRP system.
- **Continuous Process Improvement & Optimization**:Collaborate with the purchasing team to identify opportunities for process automation, optimization, and continuous improvement in supply chain operations (enhance quality, shorten delivery times and reduce costs).
- **Collaboration with Engineering**:Work closely with Bourgault’s engineering departments to identify and evaluate current and future purchasing requirements, ensuring alignment with R&D and production needs.
- **Cost Reduction & Sourcing Initiatives**:Lead proactive efforts to identify and implement quality improvements, cost reductions, and new sourcing opportunities through the creation and use of should-cost models, Cost Attack Team initiatives, supplier qualification processes, and strong supplier relationship management.
- **Supplier Negotiation & Contract Management**:Negotiate pricing, draft contracts, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure consistency in quality and delivery.
- **Supplier Site Visits**:Travel to existing and potential supplier locations to assess manufacturing capabilities, limitations, and opportunities.

**About You**:
To succeed in this role, you will require the following qualifications:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or related fields.
- **Technical Expertise**: Highly proficient in Microsoft Power BI and Excel (including advanced formulas and macro programming).
- **Analytical Skills**: Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record of data-driven decision-making.
- **Manufacturing & Logistics Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, business practices, and logistics.
- **Communication**: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify and explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences and gain buy-in.
- **Collaboration & Influence**: Proven ability to collaborate effectively, influence stakeholders, and build strong professional relationships across teams.
- **Certifications**: SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) designation is considered an asset.
