Taco Rio is currently recruiting for the position of Chef (Temporary Staff Accommodation available)

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to ensure guest satisfaction
- able to work closely with other cooks and/or servers to meet the guests’ needs
- able to attend work reliably
- ensure the quality, quantity and presentation of all foods prepared and cooked meets company standards for freshness appearance and consistency
- ensure adherence to food safety regulations, hygiene, and cleanliness
- ensure good sanitation and cleaning habits throughout each shift
- assist in securing, controlling, and ordering food stock used in kitchen to ensure as little wastage as possible
- able to work safely and securely in a manner that protects the integrity and safety of the guest, colleagues and restaurant
- perform other job related tasks assigned by management

**Skills, knowledge, experience, and qualifications**:

- minimum 2 years of comprehensive experience in a busy, full-service kitchen required
- food safe level 1 required
- must be able to stand for long periods of time
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to communicate effectively with managers, coworkers, and guests
- ability to safely, lift, pull, push or carry approximately 40 pounds
- proven superior organizational skills required
- proven previous experience as an independent worker and team building player required
- proven ability to multi-task and take direction well required
- proven safe work and reliable attendance record required
- flexible to a changing schedule

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
