We have an exciting opportunity for a **Receiving Lead Hand** to join our team in our Innisfail Office

**Receiving Job Functions**
- Receive materials, compare the actual material, packing slip and PO to ensure all items received are correct. Report any discrepancies immediately.
- Check physical dimensions, as required (including micrometer and angle gauges)
- Complete MTRs, Certificates of Compliance, and other documentation, as required
- Mark all materials with the necessary information for the class of material
- Physically locate all items as per the PO or assign a logical location
- Pick materials as per pick lists. Mark all parts with job number and place parts in job boxes or locate in staging areas as applicable. Record heat numbers in the heat book for future reference.
- Deliver job boxes to the shops, as requested
- Maintain all materials in the yards and warehouse in an organized and efficient manner
- Operate forklifts safely and work closely with the material handling group to coordinate the drop off of large or complex orders
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory counts, as required

**Lead Hand Job Functions**
- Assist with planning and organizing the day-to-day priorities of the receiving team to support work demands and delegate accordingly
- Supervise tasks assigned to employees and oversee work performed
- Ensure all policies and procedures are followed and quality standards are met on all tasks. Communicate any problems meeting this criterion with Supervisor to determine an acceptable solution.
- Liaise with the shop foremen and leads, purchasing department, project managers and design department to solve material issues for production in an efficient manner
- Train and mentor new staff
- Assist with recruiting new receiving staff members, review resumes, attend interviews, and provide input on making the hiring decision
- Provide coverage for Supervisor and Shipping, as required
- Liaise with the Safety Committee and Human Resources to communicate appropriate information to team
- Other duties, as advised by Supervisor

**Key Role Qualifications & Experience Required**
- 5 years’ warehouse/receiving experience
- 3-5 years supervisory experience
- Previous experience in a metal manufacturing facility is an asset
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated analytical organizational skills
- Must be self-motivated, results oriented, possess high degree of initiative, work well under pressure and be reliable
