**Rate of Pay: $15.50 per hour**

St. Joseph's Care Group is seeking a part time Front Desk Receptionist to perform reception, clerical and cashier duties at the St. Joseph's Heritage Front Desk. The Front Desk area acts as the emergency response centre for St. Joseph's Heritage; therefore, the successful applicant will respond to fire and smoke alarms and emergency and non-emergency calls from the P.R. Cook Apartments.

This position is ideal for both students (senior high school or post secondary), and adults wishing to work occasional shifts. The successful applicant may be scheduled to work Monday to Friday evening shifts as well as weekend day & evening shifts on a part time basis. Occasional coverage for Monday to Friday day shifts may be required for vacation coverage.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum grade 10 education required
- Must have computer and typing skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills with staff, residents, families and the general public
- Good telephone manners
- Ablility to work independently
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Must be friendly and be able to get along well with others, especially seniors
- Must be punctual, reliable, and available to work evenings, weekends and summer months
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
