As a **Property, Commercial and Personal Lines Large Loss Examiner** you will work with customers who have experienced a large loss, helping them through the claims process. Working with vendors, adjusters, and other experts, you will demonstrate empathy, strong listening skills, business acumen, and organizational effectiveness as you manage a wide variety of complex claims through to completion.

- Handle complex losses throughout Western Canada from initial contact to completion
- Closely with either an independent adjusting firm or company adjuster to gather additional on site information
- Analyze and review reports and documents
- Demonstrate strong financial management throughout the claim, from setting reserves through to the settlement process
- Develop a comprehensive action plan to ensure continual progress on the claim
- Communicate effectively with various departments and liaise with required experts, including engineers, accountants, legal, etc.
- Mentor and help support junior claims colleagues
- Participate in roundtable discussions to share expertise and knowledge
- Maintain business relationships with external vendors
- Work on files outside of a call centre / queue environment

**Qualifications**:
**What you bring to the table**:

- 5 years or more of property claims experience
- Understanding of general personal and commercial lines insurance products
- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively
- Solutions oriented mindset
- Ability to handle complex claims in a fast
- paced environment
- Knowledge of basic interior/exterior construction is an asset
- Understanding of Xactimate estimating software is a strong asset
- Confident in working with diverse technology
- Ongoing commitment to self-development
