We are currently looking for a Warehouse Associate/Assistant Shipper to join our Surrey team.

The role is responsible for ensuring that product is moved in and out of the warehouse appropriately, safely, and in a timely manner. This role is responsible for the logístical planning of transportation, packaging and assembling, documentation, and movement of product, and other related tasks to warehouse management.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Receiving and tagging of the product for jobs and stock inventory.
- Sorting and handling wood products in the warehouse.
- Pulling orders to get ready for production and for shipping.
- Load and unload trucks, package items, and deliver and pick up goods as needed, as part of the shipping/ receiving process.
- Completing and filing appropriate paperwork such as BOLs, waybills, customs documents, packing slips
- Oversee, maintain, and replenish inventory, ensure that cycle counts are conducted accurately, appropriately and consistently
- Use material handling machinery to move product when needed, and operate small hand tools for minor repairs or assembly or product
- Ensure that equipment and workspace is functional, including performing daily inspections of material handling equipment, identifying and rectifying hazards, maintaining an organized work area, and appropriately filing paperwork.
- Coordinate and scheduling deliveries, handling inventory and stock management, processing orders and invoices, and ensuring smooth production and shipping processes.
- Managing shop orders and completions, processing returns and damaged claims, and if needed overseeing truck repairs and warehouse supplies.
- Filling in as a delivery driver when necessary.
- Troubleshoot discrepancies, appropriately handle OS&Ds (Over/Short/Damaged product), redirecting them to leadership where necessary
- Provide assistance to other departments including, but not limited to logistics, quality, and supply chain, on an as-needed basis
- Observe and adhere to all safety policies and identify and report unsafe work practices or conditions
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders

**Education and/or Experience**
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years Warehouse Experience
- Forklift operating experience
- Experience with Resource Planning or Warehouse Management System software
- Experience operating 5 ton van with clean drivers record

**Practical/Technical Skills**
- Attention to detail
- Proven ability to effectively transport and maintain products
- Proven ability to complete work in a safe, accurate, and timely manner
