General Description:
Mill & Timber Products Ltd. Is a small privately owned forest company. Established in 1951, its cedar mill is located in Surrey, BC and Merritt, BC. We specialize in Western Red Cedar Products.
Principal Accountabilities:
Stewardship planning and activities to meet silvicultural obligations
Responsible for Information-Sharing with First Nations related to operations, planning, silviculture and related initiatives.
Contribute to the company annual timber development
Responsible for Postharvest Licence and Permit administration
Supervise contractors
Complete and manage budgets
Qualifications:
Will have a background that includes at minimum 15 years of demonstrated forest planning and operational expertise
Must be a Registered Forestry Professional RPF in BC
Has a working knowledge of all coastal harvesting systems, and road construction and Annual Allowable Cut (AAC).
Is knowledgeable of BC regulatory requirements
Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn, a positive attitude and able to produce positive results in a team environment
Has excellent written and oral communication skills
Is physically fit and able to meet the demands of walking in steep forest terrain on a regular basis
Has good working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel. Experience in using Roadeng, Enfor, and other government digital submission sites, would be considered as asset
The annual salary is based on the skills and experience for the position.
Position will commence immediately.

**Education**:
Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
**Experience**:
Road Construction: 10 years (preferred)
Coastal Harvesting systems: 10 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
Registered Forestry Professional (required)
