**Responsibilities**
- Assist veterinarians with examinations and treatments of animals
- Animal handling skills and knowledge required
- Communications skills with clients and staff
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred
- Ability to perform simple procedures (e.g. suture wound)
- Knowledge of animal behavior and temperament (husking)
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and computer skills (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to adapt to a diverse work environment
- Must be able to work under pressure and under stress

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Stoney Creek, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
