We are looking for a Site Superintendent to join our construction team at Akash Homes Head Office in Edmonton, Alberta.

**What your team does**:
At Akash Homes, we're experiencing exciting growth. Our construction team plays a crucial role in ensuring this growth is steady and sustainable. They prioritize relationships with our trade partners, suppliers, and external teams to ensure seamless collaboration, transparent communication, and mutual success. This team also focuses on maintaining high standards of construction quality, safety, and efficiency.

**What **you’ll** work on**:
**Construction Management**:

- Review and understand construction plans and associated drawings.
- Ensure sites are clean and ready for City Inspections.
- Maintain and update project schedules daily.
- Resolve on-site issues with trade partners and team members as they arise.
- Conduct thorough reviews of jobs through quality control checklists at multiple stages of production.
- Construct homes to standard specifications, as per plans, and any requested changes.
- Communicate and meet with customers for walkthroughs, pre-occupancy, possessions, post-possessions, and answer construction-related questions as they arise.
- Perform on-site repairs as needed, both pre and post-possession.
- Coordinate and complete any seasonal deficiency items.
- Plan and execute projects from start to finish, on time, and on budget.

**Leadership & Mentorship**:

- Provide on-site leadership and mentorship to site staff.
- Foster a collaborative work environment and ensure effective team management.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance, representing the company positively to homeowners.

**Safety & Quality**:

- Follow and enforce all safety protocols, schedules, and requirements.
- Encourage a strong safety culture among all site staff, trade partners, and subcontractors.
- Manage all daily trade functions, ensuring trade partner adherence and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Walk all homes daily to identify and address any imperfections, ensure compliance with building codes, and confirm homebuyers' options and extras are incorporated.

**Site Management**:

- Maintain a clean and aesthetically pleasing work environment throughout the construction process.
- Ensure homes are as clean and presentable as possible while under construction, reflecting pride in the construction sites at every stage.

**What **you’ll** bring**:

- ** Effective Time Management**: Ability to prioritize to meet multiple deadlines.
- **Technical Knowledge**: Understanding of the Residential Construction Industry.
- **Communication Skills**: Comfortable communicating with customers and tradespeople, both verbally and in writing.
- **Technological Proficiency**: Experience with MS Office, Excel, and Outlook.
- **Team Player**: Works well in a team or independently.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to resolve on-site issues efficiently.
- **Hands-On Ability**: Perform on-site warranty-related repairs, pre and post-occupancy repairs, and help lift materials to and from sites.
- **Industry Knowledge**: Understanding of the Alberta New Home Warranty guidelines.
