QA Technician

We are looking for a self-motivated, driven and hard working team player individual, who values a warm and friendly work environment and culture in a fast growing and pace company to assist the QA manager and the team.

This is a _**hybrid position**_ consisting of approximately 30-50% QA work, and 50-70% of processing/production and packaging per week.
- actively participate in the processing of cannabis into various dry flower and extract products (milling, sifting, decarbing and kiefing cannabis, producing pre-rolls, capsules, etc.)
- package and label cannabis at the bulk and final stages.
- Perform in-process quality control inspections of cannabis, cannabis products, packaging and labelling.
- Assist with inventory control and QA disposition of bulk and final packaged cannabis materials, and applicable non-cannabis materials.
- Assist with the oversight of the sanitation and equipment management systems.
- Prepare, maintain and audit batch records to ensure compliance with SOPs and the Cannabis Regulations.
- Prepare, review and revise SOPs.
- Investigate deviations, OOS results, client complaints and adverse reactions, addressing these investigations with CAPAs and change controls, as required.
- Review and inspect incoming materials.
- Inspect and sample cannabis and cannabis products for in-house or third-party testing.
- Participate in recalls, recall simulations, hazard analysis and PCPs, internal audits and product quality assessments,
- Perform additional tasks and assist in other departments, as directed.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify GPP gaps and process improvements.

**Education and Experience**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in sciences, quality assurance, food, pharmacy, or related field, or equivalent work-experience in a relevant field.
- Experience in the cannabis industry is an asset, but not required.
- Possession of Security Clearance is an asset.

- Flexibility in scheduling, able to work overtime, early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends, when required, and on short notice.
- Able to change tasks with efficiency and deal with frequent interruptions.
- Possesses a can-do and supportive attitude, even under stressful situations and adverse circumstances.
- Self-motivated individual who consistently seeks new challenges and learning experiences.
- Willing and able to provide hands-on assistance with activities conducted in other departments that may include standing for long periods of time, working in adverse environmental conditions (hot, humid, dry, wet, dusty), performing repetitive tasks, etc.

**Salary**: $42,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
