**This opportunity ***

As a member of Shared Technology Services (STS) team, the IT Support Technician reports to the Supervisor, Shared Technology Services and provides front-line client-focused IT support. This position is adept at evaluating and triaging issues, responds quickly to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and confidently interacts with internal support teams and stakeholders, ensuring appropriate expectations are set and met within our environment. To succeed in this role, you will be confident in your ability to effectively prioritize competing demands and maintain a broad, strategic perspective of how your work contributes to the success of your clients.

**Essential Qualifications (what we’re looking for in your resume)**:

- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Experience providing technical support in a service-oriented environment
- Experience utilizing and maintaining computer networks
- Experience with enterprise-grade computing environments
- Ability to ask and answer questions in a clear, concise, audience-appropriate manner, particularly related to complex technical concepts.
- Commitment to professional learning and growth, and to delivering superior client experiences
- Ability to evaluate and triage issues while providing clear and timely responses, which meet service commitments
- Ability to provide client-focused front-line IT support
- Ability to manage conflicting, multiple and unpredictable demands and frequent interruptions across enterprise systems and services spanning multiple sites
- Ability to work in a team environment to deliver services and solutions
- Commitment to following and improving team processes to enhance the quality, consistency, and speed of IT service delivery

**Conditions of Employment**

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

**Job Requirements**
