**Cardiology Physician**

**Role Purpose**

**Duties**
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with cardiovascular conditions, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations to assess heart function and detect abnormalities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for cardiovascular diseases, including medication management, lifestyle changes, and referrals to other specialists.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on responses to therapy and changes in condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as primary care physicians, surgeons, and nurses for coordinated patient care.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on cardiovascular health, risk factors, and treatment options.
- Stay current with advancements in cardiology through continuing education and professional development.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with medical documentation standards.

**Requirements and Skills**
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with specialization in Cardiology.
- Completion of a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Cardiology.
- Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Valid state medical license to practice as MD. Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and (ATLS) and relevant certifications.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working full-time as a cardiologist.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular diseases, diagnostic procedures, and treatment modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a multidisciplinary team.
- Exceptional attention to detail, hand-eye coordination for surgical procedures, and a compassionate bedside manner.

**Compensation**
- Fee for service with an overhead split.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 60 months

Pay: $0.01-$1.00 per hour
