**Building and Maintenance Clerk**

Reporting to the Supply Chain and Facilities Manager, the building and maintenance clerk helps
maintain BellatRx’s facilities and equipment in good working order. Their tasks include but are
not limited to maintaining and repairing BellatRx’s facilities (changing light bulbs and fixtures
etc.), repairing or installing office furniture and appliances, and keeping BellatRx’s facilities
clean by clearing or cleaning all types of debris and spills, or damage.

**HERE ARE WHAT YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WOULD BE IF YOU JOINED THE TEAM**:

- Maintain and repair facilities by, among other tasks, painting, plastering, doing light

carpentry work, and doing basic plumbing and locksmithing (major repairs are
performed under the supervision of licensed maintenance workers).
- Install, repair and service all appliances, furniture, and fixtures. Appliances can

include but are not limited to, televisions, coffee machines, fans, and heaters.
- Help maintain facilities clean and uncluttered by moving items as required and

clearing or cleaning all types of debris, spills, or damage.
- Periodically mop or sweep heavy traffic areas, including the operation of the

company’s Zamboni.
- Maintain the Zamboni in good working condition by regularly cleaning, replacing

water, and recharging the battery.
- Perform regular inspections of facilities to ensure all light bulbs are operational,

bathrooms are stocked, and the carpets and shoe racks are clean and in their proper
place.
- Check and manage inventory of cleaning materials and other supplies, and restock,

when necessary, by going to supplier locations or ordering items.
- Contact container companies for empty containers as required.
- When required, perform light custodial duties such as emptying garbage cans,
- cleaning tables, cleaning windows- Perform outdoor maintenance work such as keeping fire exits accessible (inside and

out), shovelling and salting entries, shipping bays, etc.

**COULD YOU BE OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE? HERE’S A GLIMPSE OF WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:

- 3 years minimum of proven working experience.
- High School Diploma, Technical degree in building maintenance an asset.
- Basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as part of a self-directed team.
- Possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to lift to 20 kilograms / 45 pounds comfortably.
- Be physically fit with no auditory or back issues.
- Be able to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during long shifts.
