**Position: Manager - Marjorie Amos Residence**

Our organization, a not-for-profit in the Peel region, provides residential programs and reintegration support to women and girls experiencing conflict with the law, mental health and addiction issues, chronic homelessness, and gender-based violence.

**What you will do**:
In this role, the Manager will lead and supervise a team and provide direction, support, and policy with respect to case management and management of residential programs. In addition, the Manager is responsible for managing the provision of crisis intervention, counselling, education regarding residential options in the community, and referral services to girls and in need. The Manager will be responsible for ensuring that programming and service provision is relevant, meaningful, and provides effective support for girls accessing services.

**Role responsibilities**:

- Oversees delivery of services to our clients through supervision to Residential Caseworkers, placement students, and volunteers on a day-to-day basis.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluations of programs, policies, and procedures in consultation with the Managing Director.
- Promotes and enhances effectives programming and case management practices that incorporate gender
- responsive and trauma-informed practices.
- Develops and nurtures relationships with existing and new community partners and stakeholders, ensuring that referrals and recommended actions are followed up in an effective manner.
- Manages scheduling and personnel allocation providing consistently adequate staffing to ensure proper service provision and staff safety.
- Manages and adheres to fiscal budgets and consistently meets deliverables and deadlines.
- Participates in internal reviews, audits, and inspections of programs.
- Ensures all programming complies with all relevant legislation, professional standards, funding contracts, and health and safety standards.
- Participates and is available on an on-call rotational schedule (after hours).
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Managing Director and/or Executive Director

**What you bring**:

- Post secondary education in a related field with experiencing working with at
- risk and vulnerable female populations; prior supervisory experience is mandatory and required.
- 1-3 years management/supervisory experience in a social service setting is required.
- Experience in the field of mental health and addictions as it relates to a harm reduction model.
- Knowledgeable and skilled in the day-to-day supervision of people and residential programs and have the ability to follow-up on tasks to ensure the optimum, safe, and effective delivery of services.
- Demonstrated people management skills including: mentoring, coaching, team building, training, development, and conflict resolutions skills.
- Practical knowledge and experience facilitating gender specific and responsive programming.
- Excellent listening skills and interpersonal skills; non-judgmental, strength-based, caring and empowering.
- Excellent communication skills; proven leadership skills and strong knowledge of community resources.
- The ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, and cope effectively with those complexities and changes.
- A demonstrated ability to foster healthy workplaces, free from discriminatory practice and recognize the values involved with actively moving toward greater inclusivity and equity.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and willingness to travel as required.
