**About You**

We are seeking a highly motivated, passionate, flexible, and compassionate individual to join our dynamic child care team as a School Age Care Educator in our Kids World program for children ages 5-12 at Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House located at 2131 Renfrew Street.

**About the Position**

The School Age Care Educator is responsible for the provision of a school age care program that fosters a positive, and emergent learning environment with a focus on the social and emotional well being of all children. We are an inclusive, multicultural, dynamic and collaborative child care setting which includes working with other educators to plan and implement a progressive and innovative program inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, BC Early Learning Framework in concert with the values of FHNH. Other responsibilities include developing strong and collaborative relationships and communication with children, families and colleagues.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Completion of a 20 hour course (or willingness to attend training), or a combination of courses in child development, guidance, health and safety, or nutrition
- Ability to provide programming based on the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach and BC’s ELF
- Strength in building and maintaining supportive and collaborative partnerships with children of all abilities, families, and colleagues.
- Creativity, initiative, flexibility, compassion, sense of joy, and enthusiasm
- Passion for ongoing professional development and growth
- Experience working with special needs children is an asset
- Passion for ongoing professional development and growth
- First Aid Certificate

**Hours**:This is a regular part time position at 19.75 hours/week, Monday to Friday 2:15 to 6:00 plus weekly meeting.

Part-time hours: 19.75 per week

**Salary**: $20.29-$21.36 per hour
