**Medical Biller**

Status: Permanent part-time position
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per 2-week cycle, during regular business hours Monday - Friday
Starting Date: Effective immediately
Location: Civic Campus of The Ottawa Hospital. Currently working in a hybrid system

Hourly Rate of Pay: $ 25.028/hour as starting salary

**Position Description**:
The Ottawa Hospital Emergency Physicians Associates (TOHEPA) Medical Billing Clerk reports directly to the TOHEPA Office Manager. The Medical Billing Clerk is primarily responsible for the physicians’ billing for the Emergency Department.

**List of duties include but not limited to**:

- RAMQ Billings
- OHIP Billings
- WSIB Billings
- Other related duties, as assigned.

**Competencies**:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Good knowledge of procedure, diagnostic and service codes in both OHIP and RAMQ.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office software.
- Must be fluent in both official languages.
- Medical billing experience required.
- Familiarity with EPIC billing software is an asset.

- Prioritizes tasks and meets deadlines.
- Respects confidentiality.
- Possesses good organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.

**Education**: Post-secondary education or equivalence.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 18.75 per week

**Salary**: From $25.02 per hour
