Maintenance/handyperson

We are seeking a team-player, maintenance person for two 50-unit hotels.

You will be responsible for performing general building maintenance, reporting to the maintenance team, hotel staff, and owners. We are looking for a friendly, even tempered, reliable, hands-on, fix-it type person to join our maintenance team and perform a variety of tasks to keep guests happy and the properties and facilities in good repair and above standards.

**Duties**:

- Assist with various maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner
- Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
- Drywall, patch and paint
- General repairs to furniture, finishings, cupboards, shelving
- Assist with flooring, tiling, general renovations
- Troubleshoot appliances, tvs, air conditioners, and minor appliances
- Grounds and property cleanup

Mandatory Job Skills/Qualifications:

- Must have basic plumbing experience, unclogging drains, changing taps, etc.
- Must have basic electrical experience, changing light fixtures etc.
- Must have painting, patching experience
- Must have basic construction, drywall, finishing, tiling, flooring, experience
- Must have own tools
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays during peak tourism season
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, twist, bend
- Pool and hottub maintenance experience a bonus
- Minor appliance repair a bonus
- Problem solving skills
- Respects and works well with others
- Able to work independently
- Minor appliance repair a bonus
- Must have valid BC drivers license and transportation
- Must pass a RCMP security clearance
- MUST be living in Kelowna and legally able to work in Canada

**Salary**: $23.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
