JBS Equipment is a rapidly growing manufacturing company in Mission, BC. We are looking for an experienced individual to join us as a Capacity Planner.

The **Capacity Planner** is responsible for ensuring our operations are optimized to their full potential. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, HR, and Finance, to analyze demand, allocate resources effectively, and enhance the overall efficiency of our operations.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Forecast and plan capacity requirements to ensure alignment with overall production plan.
- Measure, Monitor, and Track Capacity using FTE and standard times.
- Maintain production dates as per production schedule.

Primary DUTIES:

- Develop and maintain robust capacity planning models to predict resource needs accurately.
- Collaborate with Engineering, HR, Painting, Purchasing, Sales, and Scheduling to understand business requirements and translate them into capacity plans.
- Review and recommend changes to standard times using historical data.
- Produce reports that evaluate plant capacity and identify areas needing improvement.
- Notify production when additional manpower is deemed necessary to meet delivery times.
- Complete and publish Production Report on a biweekly basis.
- Determine variance from production schedules, resource levels, and inventory demand.
- Identify production issues or bottlenecks that impact plant capacity.
- Work closely with Production Scheduler, and Operations Manager to achieve JBS goals.
- Back up Production Scheduler as and when required.

requirements:

- Must have a minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication (ability to interface with personnel, internal customers, and different functional groups within the business units)
- Proficient computer experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook with some knowledge of ERP systems
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions such as build lists and drawings.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Post secondary education preferred.
- Typically reports to a supervisor, occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Proper personal protective equipment is always required when on the shop floor, including but not limited to steel toe boots, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
- Role is typically 80% office and 20% shop floor to check on status of orders, therefore there is walking, standing, and sitting.

NOTE: This role carries other tasks from time to time as needed

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
