**Surface Land Administrator**

NuVista Energy is hiring** **a Surface Land Administrator for our Calgary head office**. Reporting to the Supervisor, Surface Land and Operations Administration, you will be responsible for area coordination with external brokers for all Freehold and Crown acquisitions of surface leases, easements/ pipelines, and facilities as it relates to the asset team needs. **Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinate with internal land agent and external brokers for freehold and Crown acquisition of surface leases, easements / pipelines, facilities, and above ground waterlines
- Receive, audit, and distribute land acquisition packages; including the completion of third-party documentation; request road use and landowner cheques, where required
- Input, update, and maintain surface files in CS Explorer, Pandell Projects and the electronic surface filing system
- Attend asset team meetings, and communicate detailed status updates to the Supervisor and asset team leaders
- Coordinate internally or with broker agents on rental reviews, tribunal notices and / or freehold challenges that arise
- Participate in area open houses and/or townhall presentations
- Potential to participate in Indigenous relationship building opportunities
- Request cheques and code / approve invoices
- Assist with third party agreements and road use requests, and miscellaneous projects, as required
**Qualifications/Attributes**
- A diploma or certification in a land program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in surface land administration within the oil and gas industry, with both land broker and in-house experience
- Proficiency with CS Explorer, related standards and processes
- Experience with the following software programs will be considered an asset: Pandell Projects, Abadata, Open Invoice, PDF Foxit and Outlook
- Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and strong organizational skills
- Proven ability to follow existing standards/workflows and processes, as well as the ability to create new ones
- Experience with and /or interest in Indigenous relations would be considered an asset
