**Summary**:
Under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor, the Auto Crib Tech is responsible for general inventory control functions, updating inventory descriptions, along with some material logistics activities.
This is a safety-sensitive position that requires completion of pre-employment testing.
**Key Focus**:
- Verify all preferred manufacturers and part numbers, update and/or delete material from the Auto-crib system as necessary.
- Maintain inventory control including inventory material organization; maintain appropriate inventory levels as required by client
- Maintain stock rotation, reconcile calculated inventories with physical counts, control and organize inventory levels as needed
- Maintain vending machines
- Track materials from the vendors and research the vendor’s website for additional information.
- Provide daily reporting for outstanding tools and materials.
- Update the Auto-crib system as needed.
- Assist in resolving issues and other problems with material vendors, and/or transport companies..
- Perform any related and/or additional duties as assigned
**Knowledge and Skill Requirements**:
- Completion of a High School Diploma is required.
- A valid Class 5 License (or equivalent) is required, along with a satisfactory 3-year Drivers Abstract.
- CSTS and OSSA or CSO/BSO are required.
- Knowledge in MS Office; specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
- Experience in SAP is considered an asset.
- Experience in inventory control/management systems are an asset.
- 2 - 3 years of Supply Chain experience in Logistics, Warehousing environment, Oil and Gas environment or Transportation environment is required.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal guidance and exercise good judgment.
- Ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively to produce detail-oriented, accurate work while meeting deadlines
- Comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment that collaborates with many departments.
- Must possess good analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
This is a temporary full time position located north of Fort McMurray, AB on Syncrude site.
**Work schedule**: Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day.
**NOTE**: Flight and Camp accommodation ARE NOT available.
