Picker and Packer

Job description

Family owned warehouse distribution company looking for a picker packer. We are the Canadian distributor for a wide variety of educational and open-ended toys and games. We are a small team so we’re looking for a committed and reliable co-worker.

A **cover letter** is **Required**

The main responsibilities will be picking, packing, shipping, unpacking and re-stocking.

Responsibilities include:

- Communicate with clients, suppliers and transport companies
- Plan work appropriately
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
- Any other tasks related to maintaining a clean, organized and safe warehouse space

Requirements/ skills:

- Ability to collaborate with others
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong decision making and problem solving skill
- Excellent reading, writing and math skills
- Ability to work with computers
- Comfortable working with customers by telephone when troubleshooting is required
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Ability to work under pressure when there is a rush of incoming shipments

Additional Assets (please indicate in your Cover Letter if you have these):

- Experience with QuickBooks an asset
- Previous warehouse shipper/receiver experience an asset

Part-time, Permanent with benefits available after 6 months

Warehouse closed from Christmas to New Year

Clean, air-conditioned warehouse and office space with kitchenette and eating area.

Hours: Mon - Fri 9:00am-2:00pm
