Staff Housing Co-ordinator

**The Staff Housing Co-ordinator is responsible for maintaining professional, welcoming living conditions while performing a variety of tasks pertaining to the day-to-day operation of staff residence and coordination of departmental activities.***: Position lives on-site (May - October/November)
**Specific Accountabilities**:
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources below are some key accountabilities:
- Responsible for understanding, communicating, and enforcing the rules and regulations as outlined in the housing policies for all staff accommodations.
- Provide a welcoming and professional housing environment to all residents. Provide new residents with a comprehensive orientation of the building in which they will be living and review the policies and procedures for their housing.
- As the main contact for residents for non-emergency repairs, determine the need for maintenance for all housing and ensure the completion of necessary repairs.
- Responsible for maintaining an accurate occupancy database and will be responsible for keys distribution.
- Perform cleaning of common areas, and organize the cleaning of units in preparation for the next incoming resident when needed.
- Perform minor maintenance, janitorial duties, cleaning, and some moving and lifting where necessary, and any other duties as assigned.
**Qualification and Educational Requirements**:
- At least one year of related housing experience
- Completion of high school diploma
- Highly detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Able to effectively handle competing priorities, take ownership of duties and show initiative
- Strong personal integrity with an innate desire to work in an ethical and confidential manner
- Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills with the ability to work well under pressure
- Proven warm and sincere verbal communication
- Ability to provide superior customer service
- Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently
- First aid and CPR certifications, or willing to obtain
- WHMIS training in handling, storage, and use of cleaning products
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs when assisting with luggage
- A valid driver’s license/clear driving record
**Special Requirements**:
- To Ensure a seamless check-in/out procedure due to staff and faculty arriving at various times based on their travel schedules and program start dates, hours may include occasional weekends, after hours or holidays.
