Currently, we have an immediate opening for a hybrid Accounting Technician (Accounts Payable and Receivable). If you are a motivated, organized, detail-oriented individual who enjoys taking on challenges, then this might be the opportunity you've been looking for.

**Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the Accounting Technician plays a crucial role within the accounting department. Their main responsibilities include supporting the Chief Accountant in the entire accounting cycle and assisting with accounts payables and accounts receivables, which means**:
**Main Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Recording accurately supplier invoices into the system after verification and within prescribed deadlines.
- Creating credit notes for customers after the verification process with customer service and warehouses.
- Recording invoice receipts in the system and reconciling them with the correct invoices in the customer accounts.
- Recording and reconciling bank transactions.
- Preparing accounting entries.
- Creating various tables such as prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued expenses, and other Excel spreadsheets.
- Contributing to the improvement of accounting processes.
- Participating in special projects and any other related tasks.

**Education Requirements**
- DEC/AEC/DEP in Accounting
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position
- Experience in accounting and/or data processing
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Spoken languages: French (required) and English
- Comfortable working with the AS/400 system (an asset).

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
