Acheson, Canada Tidewater Midstream & Infrastructure Ltd Full time

Tidewater has an immediate opening for a **Transload Operator. **This is a full-time position based at our Acheson, AB facility, this position will be expected to work 12-hour shifts 7on/7off. The Transload Operator's primary responsibility is to safely and timely load and unload rail cars to/from trucks within Tidewater’s facility. The loader will also be responsible for preparing these modes of transport for shipment and completing the appropriate documents and checklist. It is expected that the Transload Operator will have the ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies.

**Summary of Responsibilities**:

- Inspect and prepare rail cars for loading
- Complete appropriate paperwork/documentation
- Load rail cars with Propane, Butane, kero, naphtha, propylene, and Crude oil, following all safety procedures and ensuring the rail car is properly sealed and ready for transport
- Assist with the movement and placement of rail cars on site
- General maintenance duties as assigned, may involve yard maintenance, snow removal and basic facility and equipment repairs and clean up

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of Grade 12, post-secondary education an asset
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience required
- Transportation of dangerous goods training
- WHMIS training
- 4th class Power Engineering would be considered an asset
- IROR Training would be an asset
- Previous product handling and or operational experience an asset
- Must have some computer experience in Microsoft Office
- Must have the ability to maintain confidential information
- Must have a valid Alberta drivers’ license

- Ability and willingness to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime
- Has a very high regard for safety in the workplace, and has a strong commitment to operational policies and procedures
- Is willing to work in all weather conditions - extreme summer heat and cold winter weather
- Able to complete the physical aspects of job, heavy lifting, climbing stairs, crawling under rail cars etc.
- Must pass all required courses, inclusive of H2S, First Aid Training
