We are actively seeking a talented **IE-Document Control/Purchasing Expeditor** to join our team. As part of the Industrial Engineering process, you will contribute to streamlining production processes. **Summary**

As an Workorder Distributor you will be responsible for handling manufacturing and purchasing documents at the beginning of our production process, ensuring the accurate and timely implementation of design packages into production. This position works closely with Industrial Engineering to ensure communication of information results in a coordinated effort to meet customer requirements and provides associated reporting to affected departments.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

**Workorder Distribution and Maintenance **- Generate shop and office folders and distributes them to required production and purchasing teams. Follow up workorders and drawings through the production process and implement the required changes making sure all affected processes are involved.

**Bill of Materials (BOM) and Routing**:

- Create accurate BOM and routing as required for all orders in Global Shop software and issue to Purchasing and Production. Work closely with Industrial Engineer to ensure all required materials are being fabricated or purchased to support the delivery schedule. Organize inventory numbers and descriptions for ease of repeatability. Enter inventory part numbers into Global Shop and ensure all required parameters are entered correctly including special specifications. Input quality requirements as required by QA.

**Expediting -** Work with manufacturing and purchasing to communicate and expedite with vendors to ensure timely receipt of purchased goods.

**Production Documentation and Standardization** - Assist in developing and maintaining production documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flowcharts. Ensure that all relevant documentation is up to date, easily accessible, and aligned with industry best practices. Standardizing processes and procedures will help in reducing variability, improving quality, and enabling effective training and knowledge transfer.

**Cross-functional Collaboration** - Collaborate with various teams, including engineering, quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and communication across departments. Actively participate in meetings, provide input on process-related matters, and contribute to problem-solving and decision-making efforts.

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education in engineering technology from an accredited educational institution or relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in the accumulation and transfer of information.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with associated processes preferred.
- Superior facilitative and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Proficient in SolidWorks 3D CAD.
- Ability to work effectively unsupervised as well as collaborates within an active team.
- Demonstrates discretion and adheres to confidentiality in handling delicate or complex situations.
- Effective problem-solving and mediation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
- Proficiency with office computer equipment and software.

Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
