Host/busser

Our small suburban pub is seeking a friendly Host/Busser who can deliver excellent guest service while being organized and friendly. Food and Beverage knowledge as well as our strong focus on Ottawa craft beer is a must. In addition to above average pay, we offer all staff full benefits upon hiring and a $300 healthcare spend account after 6 months.

We are looking for a Host/Busser who will be responsible for seating guests, clearing tables, and constantly communicating with staff and management. Duties will mostly include organizing reservations, seating charts, running food, and clearing tables.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with cooks and other staff. Previous work experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is greatly desired.

**Host/busser Responsibilities**:

- Understand and follow the steps of service.
- Take reservations using Toast Reservation Platfoirm
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner.
- Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
- Ensure tables are cleared in a timely manner
- Help food preparation staff when necessary.
- Complete daily side duties and general section maintenance.

**Server Requirements**:

- FULL-WEEKEND Availability is a must.
- Smart Serve Certification is required
- Experience providing excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with cooks and other staff.
- Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.
