**Epic Opportunities** is looking for a summer student who is highly motivated, detail oriented, and wants an opportunity to gain experience in Web Design and Digital Content creation.

**What you can expect?**

The Junior Web Design & Digital Content Creator is responsible for helping with the creation, design and development of the Epic Opportunities Foundation outreach tools and strategies to engage donors, to gain natural business links, increase social engagement and PR exposure. This project will help Epic Opportunities bring online communications and tools up to Accessibility Standards (AMA). This role reports directly to Director of Strategic Communications & Philanthropy and will work with relevant external stakeholders and internal teams.

**We will count on you to**:

- To redesign the overall Epic Opportunities Website, increasing the public profile of the overall organization and Foundation.
- Effectively communicate with the Epic Opportunities team, partners and community members, modeling the Vision, Mission and Values of Epic Opportunities.
- Assist in the creation of innovative PR communications to enhance the Epic Opportunities brand.

**The successful applicant for this position must meet the following Canada Summer Jobs Grant requirements**:

- Must be between 15 - 30 years of age at the start of employment.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person whom refugee protection has been confirmed under the Immigrant and Refugee Protection Act at the duration of employment; and
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- International students are not eligible.

**Qualifications and experience we are looking for**:

- Area of studies which will be an asset; Web Design & Development, Digital Media Design, Graphic Design, Communications.
- Demonstrated commitment to the vision, mission, values and policies of Epic Opportunities.
- Knowledge of website accessibility and the Accessibility Standards (AMA) an asset.
- Ability to manage several projects at a time, be organized and carry out priorities in a fast-paced environment while working independently or in a team setting.
- The ability to listen, understand, problem solve and respond.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be a self-starter who is resourceful, creative and imaginative.

The successful applicant will be asked to provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and both a Child and Adult Abuse Registry check upon hire at their own expense.

- Start date: to be determined, for a duration of 8 weeks ending by August 30, 2024.
- A current Manitoba Driver’s License and use of a personal vehicle an asset.
