Intermediate Inspector

Job description:

- Participate in creation and execution of the Inspection and Test Plans
- Perform quality inspection in accordance with the related codes and customer specifications. Such inspections shall include but not be limited to

1. Perform routine quality assessments on raw materials and outgoing products.

2. Review of Certified Material Test Reports as required

3. Measuring product dimensions, examining the functionality of products, and comparing the final products to see if standards are met

4. Visual welding inspection

5. Check painting or galvanizing thickness and visual inspection

6. Perform internal weld monitoring as required

7. Complete all associated documentation and forms for individual inspections

8. Tracking of non-conformance reports and corrective/preventative action requests

9. Flag the products for NDE, perform UT as requests.
- Participate in ISO Quality System audit, maintenance and improvement:
1. Documenting inspection findings, and completing detailed reports and performance records

2. Participate in quality package document

3. Educating the production team on quality control processes, concerns, and standards of product quality

4. Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment by complying with legal regulations

Requirement:
1. Post Secondary Education in welding or mechanical engineering

2. Level 1 CWB inspection certificate

3. Level 1 CGSB UT certificate(preferred)

4. Over 3 years experience in QA/QC

Hourly Rate:

- $30 - $35

**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
