Overview of the Role

Reporting to the Lead Project Manager Office, Major Capital Projects, the Project Manager is responsible for managing the progress and delivery of Major Capital projects. Your role will be to deliver successful projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment focused on growth and continuous improvement.

How you will make contributions that matter:

- Manage and support major Capital projects in the Canadian Division
- Establish the project plan which determines the project structure, and deliverables.
- Ensure that project investment objectives are achieved and sustained for future growth
- Keep all stakeholders fully engaged and progressing toward project goals and key milestones
- Ensure that projects are delivered within scope, on time, and on budget
- Perform financial review and budget management on all projects
- Provide the leadership team with timely progress reports regarding project milestones, risks, issues, decisions as well as recommendations if necessary.
- You will ensure the timely communication of relevant project information to all affected team members, including changes to the plan, team structure, commitments, and project dependencies.
- Perform risk analysis with stakeholders and provide mitigation plans
- Participate in the selection of key suppliers on the major projects
- Manage third party relationships and monitor their progress and adherence to the contract
- Lead post-mortem quantitative and qualitative analysis to ensure project objectives have been met and lessons learned

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Business, or equivalent training.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in project management or equivalent
- Finance background will be an asset
- High degree of autonomy, ability to prioritize and manage expectations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a highly collaborative approach.
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of automation and controls is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite including MS Project.
- Both French and English are essential as teams are located across Canada.
- Agri-food industry will be an asset
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is an asset
- Willingness to travel across Canada (20%)
