Shouldice Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and organized procurement co-ordinator to join our team. The procurement co-ordinator will report to the Director of Finance and will manage the Hospital’s procurement including, office and medical supplies, equipment uniforms, materials, goods, and services. The Procurement Co-ordinator will work with Managers and Directors to support their departmental procurement needs and coordinate the procurement process in accordance with Hospital guidelines and polices, including, sourcing and researching products, collect all purchasing orders from different departments and make those purchases from suppliers/vendors.

**Procurement Duties and Responsibilities**
- Recommend new processes or systems for improvement implement new ideas
- Prepare purchase orders from a purchase requisition while ensuring attention to detail and accuracy
- Purchase supplies and materials within purchasing policies, including adhering to approved procurement practices
- Determine the lowest cost for supplies and materials
- Receive orders, document arrivals, and assist with three-way match exceptions by liaising with end users, accounts payable, receiving department and suppliers to resolve any discrepancies
- Resolve hold of payment or shipment issues with suppliers by working closely with accounts payable and suppliers
- Track and record orders and verify billed amount with goods received
- Analyze, organize, label and manage inventory of all supplies, materials uniforms, and medication
- Source suppliers and vendors; negotiate contracts and costs
- Monitor /manage order expenses
- Communicate costs to management
- Organize and schedule procurements in a timely manner
- Prepare and maintain purchasing files, report and price list
- Assignments of additional projects and duties from time to time as required by the hospital

**Procurement Requirements and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in procurement, business, finance, or related field
- 3 years of previous experience in procurement or purchasing
- Experience in industry procedures, costs, and terms
- Strong analytical and time management skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 25-30 pounds
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
