As an NSD Puppy Raiser, you help us to raise a service dog by acting as a caretaker and helping them learn house manners and socialization, and exposing them to new people, places, and experiences. Puppy Raisers get lots of support from our team, attend regular training classes, have access to puppy sitters for respite, and learn new skills while making new friends

**Qualifications**:

- Live within 30-45 minutes of NSD
- Have no children under the age of 5 living in the house under
- A maximum of 2 personal dogs that are over 1 year of age and have been in the home no less than 1 year
- Live no higher than the 7th floor of apartment buildings
- Leave the puppy alone no longer than 3-4 hours per day
- Be available to attend regular training classes (first 3 months weekly, then biweekly, then monthly)
- Be able to respond to communications in a timely fashion
- Be able to take direction from trainers, use critical thinking and problem solving skills
- LOVE DOGS

Previous canine experience is helpful but not required.

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cambridge, ON N1R 5S5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Cambridge, ON N1R 5S5
