**Job Title: Floor Manager (Sublimation Area)**

**Overview**:We are an architectural powder coating company that specializes in sublimation and we are seeking a Sublimation Floor Manager to join our team. The Sublimation Floor Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sublimation area and equipment, managing a team of sublimation technicians, ensuring quality control standards are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate the work of sublimation technicians, ensuring production targets are met
- Ensure all sublimation jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Manage inventory levels of sublimation materials, packaging materials, and film
- Ensure that the sublimation equipment is properly maintained and in good working order
- Troubleshoot any sublimation issues that arise and develop solutions to improve processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Ensure that all employees are properly trained on sublimation processes, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Maintain records and prepare reports on sublimation operations, including production, quality control, and employee performance

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a leadership role
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, customers, and management
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and production processes
- Knowledge of safety regulations and experience with maintaining a safe work environment
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and develop solutions to complex problems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of QMS (Quality Management Systems), preferable ISO 9001

**Health and safety responsibilities**:

- Conduct and ensure employee training (WHMIS) is current and conducted according to requirements

**Qualifications**

**Education**

College: Preferred

**Experience**

Years related work experience required:
3-5 Years related Supervisory / Manufacturing experience

**Training**

Training on processes and use of Sublimation equipment
- Fork lift certificate

What kind of on-going training/development is needed to keep current in this position?
- Continuous learning / skills development as new products and processes are introduced
- Prefer knowledge in ISO 9001, QMZ, AAMA, or similar

**Skills and Competencies**

Technical:

- Experience with training technicians, including hands-on instruction.
- Ability to manage inventory and supplies for the sublimation area
- Experience in operating and maintaining equipment
- Experience with quality control standards
- Understanding of maintenance and troubleshooting of sublimation equipment

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and motivate a team of sublimation technicians.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and solve complex problems related to sublimation processes and equipment.

- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to adjust to changing production schedules, priorities, and deadlines.
- Strong work ethic, with a commitment to safety and compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and management.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, with a willingness to learn and implement new sublimation processes, techniques, and equipment. Aligned to company goals and mission

**Working Conditions**

Scheduled work week: M-F days, afternoons as required

Variations to regular work week: Overtime as needed

Number of hours per week: 40 + O.T. Number of hours per day: 8 + O.T.
