**BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
This position reports directly to Manager of Quality Control and is responsible for the
1. The programming and operating of Co-ordinate Measuring Machines (C.M.M.) used to verify the dimensional accuracy of moulds, dies, component parts, electrodes, fixtures, plastic injection and die cast parts according to CAD data, and tool/part print specifications.
2. The recording of inspection results and the preparation and distribution of reports pertaining to such inspection results.
**NATURE AND SCOPE**
The position of Quality Control Inspector is an hourly-rated position working on afternoon shift on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with an average work week consisting of 34 hours per week. Overtime rate of 1.5 times will be applied to the hours worked over weekend.
Minimum education level required is Grade 12 or equivalent. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience running Co-ordinate Measuring Machines, coupled with experience in the trade of mould making is preferable.
Must: be able to program and run CMM machines; be able to operate CAD system; have clear and legible writing; have good work attendance; be able to communicate effectively both in verbal and written form.
Must be capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, part prints/drawings. Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (G. D. & T.) required. Must possess a “hands-on” skill set in programmable CMM machines (Brown and Sharpe) - PC-DMIS software.

**JOB DUTIES**
1. Minimum education requirement Grade 12 or equivalent
2. A minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in a Quality Inspection Leadership role within the automotive industry, experience in the trade of Die and Mold making is preferable.
3. Able to communicate effectively both in verbal and written form with clear and legible hand writing
4. Ability to meet deadlines and to maintain focus on quality deliverables project milestones and proven ability to perform in a high-pressure environment
5. Must be able to program and run CMM machines
6. Able to operate CAD system
7. Familiar with the operation and use of Faro Arm hard probe and laser scanner a definite asset
8. Must be capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, part prints/drawings. Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (G. D. & T.) required. Must possess a “hands-on” skill set in programmable CMM machines (Brown and Sharpe) - PC DMIS software
9. Good attendance combined with ability to work overtime as required.
