Painting Estimator

Lakeridge Painting Muskoka is looking for a strong, organized commercial and residential Project Estimator to join our team. Painting estimation experience would be ideal. This position will be responsible for all estimating and bid submissions. Must be local to the Georgian Bay and Muskoka area - willing to commute to sites is a requirement.

**Job Requirements**:

- Create paint estimates that are accurate and profitable
- Review and understand plans/specifications
- Quantity survey of all items on the project
- Perform site surveys to ensure accuracy
- Prepare accurate quantity take offs and material pricing
- Determine labor and equipment costs
- Create and update colour plans and matrix’s for field use during project
- Assist Project Manager and jobsite staff with estimates after bid award
- Build new and maintain existing client relationships
- Seek out bid opportunities
- Evaluate and implement new ways to ensure bids are competitive and profitable
- Follow up on all bids
- Ad-hoc projects as requested

**Minimum Skills/Experience Required**:

- 2 years construction estimating experience and/or 5+ painting experience
- Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings
- Ability to make accurate calculations
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel Knowledge
- Planswift
- General computer skills: Microsoft Word, Gmail, Adobe PDF

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $16.00-$30.00 per hour
