Shipper/receiver

AtlantiCann Medical Inc. (AMI) is a license producer of cannabis, requiring a shipper and receiver to join our team. This position will oversee all goods and materials for the entire facility. The Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for receiving goods and materials and ensuring all shipments are palletized by verifying documentation.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Receive incoming shipments in collaboration with other members of the team.
- Communicate received items with appropriate departments.
- Coordinate with departments to prevent back log of material in ship bay.
- Verify shipments that are received against the shipping documentation.
- Record receipts of received material into ERP software.
- Ensure accuracy of documentation and inventory received.
- Inspect received items for damages/defects.
- Communicate any discrepancies/damages/defects to procurement to investigate.
- Manage the storage of items once they are received by working with the inventory control coordinator.
- Assist production to distribute supplies on demand and ensure smooth transition of material.
- Movement and coordination of materials to and from storage warehouses.
- Palletize and prepare all outgoing shipments with proper paperwork as required.
- Ensure accuracy of shipments by verifying shipments with documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.

**Preferred Skills and Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Shipping and receiving experience
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle private information with a high amount of discretion
- Ability to write and maintain proper records
- First Aid/CPR certification, considered an asset
- Forklift certification is considered an asset

**Requirements of Applicants**:

- Must be 19 years of age
- Have reliable transportation to and from the facility
- Can work a minimum of 9 hours a day, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays
- Have the physical ability to sit, squat, bend, lift, push, pull 50 pounds and kneel repetitively throughout a work day
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time

**Screenings**: Driver’s License, Criminal Background Check, Health Canada, and others as required.

**Ability and willingness to work in the following conditions**:
Shipping and Receiver may be exposed to pollen, allergens, and chemical pesticides at the facility. As well as fumes, dust, odors, extreme heat temperatures, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, noise, protective gear, vibrations, and water.
