Float Host

Edmonton, Canada Float House Edmointon Full time

Our floatation therapy centre on Whyte Avenue is called Float House and it's a space where people come to rest, relax, reset, recharge and reconnect. It's like a mini-retreat from life's struggles, aches, pains, stress, tension, discomforts & distractions.

Our floaters often refer to our space as their temple, sanctuary, church, playground... so we're looking for the right person & spirit to compliment our space and hold space for everybody that floats with us.

People from all walks of life come to enjoy and explore floating with us, so put simply, **we are looking for mature people that are welcoming, kind & accepting (not easily triggered), and independently capable of keeping our space clean and our float experience flowing smoothly.**

Shifts are done solo and a big part of the position is cleaning float rooms & tanks, keeping the common space tidy, doing laundry, booking floats and doing very basic admin stuff on the computer. _If you really don't like working alone, time-management, cleaning and tidying_, this will not be the right thing for you as it cannot be avoided.

**Here is why hosting floats is special**:
Floating is a very powerful personal experience that touches people physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually & energetically. Essentially, it is a hyper-intentional space that assists anyone in the safe & consistent exploration of deeper and more intimate states of meditation, contemplation, prayer, reflection, forgiveness, healing, etc.

This position gives you a front row seat to witness other people release, reset, recharge, reconnect, rest, relax grow, heal and do so much more. Being able to witness this happen with your own eyes can inspire and compliment your own journey beautifully, plus as a host, you will be able to jump into a float whenever it's available and you're free to go.

**Here are some things for your consideration**:

- No floating or meditation experience required.
- No previous employment experience is required.
- No education/training is required.
- No age preference... high-school students to seniors are welcome to apply.
- Shift are typically between 4 to 8 hours on weekday evenings and mostly over the weekend.
- This position is part-time and can be anywhere from 8 to 20 hours per week.
- The cleaning and running of the store requires moderate physical movements & ability.
- Training will be shadow-shifts with the owner until you're ready to host solo.
- Three-month probation.

If you being a float host intrigues you, please share a brief explanation as to why you're interested in being a float hose.

Take care, Dominic
