Adcock Equipment has quickly grown to become a leader in selling quality aerial work platforms and telehandlers to a diverse customer base throughout Canada. We are looking to find a career-minded Heavy Equipment Technician (Field) to join our **Edmonton** team in our brand new **North Nisku **building

**You will have your own service truck to handle service calls in the field. When not on service calls you will help in repairing equipment at our location.**

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Diagnose and troubleshoot defects in heavy duty equipment
- Perform mechanical repairs on equipment in the shop and road calls when required
- Repair and adjust hydraulic pumps, safety switches, and any other necessary mechanical components
- Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Inspect, repair and adjust gasoline and diesel powered units
- Install and align engines and machinery
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance
- Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
- Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliance
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
- Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques
- Other mechanical repair work as required

**Requirements**:

- Prefer Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician’s technical training, aerial experience or well rounded mechanical skills
- The ideal applicant will have prior experience in resealing hydraulic cylinders and hydrodynamic components.
- Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical systems, including schematics and diagnostics
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Computer literate
- Previous AWP, telehandler, forklift, crane, compressor, and generator experience looked on favorably

**Work Conditions**
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- PPE required at all times
- Overtime as required
- Hazards associated with the trade
- Work both indoors and outdoors
- May be exposed to construction sites

**Salary**: $42.00-$48.00 per hour
