**Responsibilities**
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
- Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements
- Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
- Organize projects and plan ahead
- Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
- Build scaffolding and other construction structures
- Participate in project planning and budgeting

**Requirements**:

- Proven carpentry experience in all aspects of residential construction
- Proven experience in dealing with sub trades
- Good communications skills and a willingness to mentor and provide support to our Build Team members
- Experience in concrete work
- Experience in finish work and commercial construction would be considered an asset
- Proven experience in meeting timelines
- Proven Ability to look and plan ahead
- Successful completion of carpentry apprenticeship program
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good knowledge of English
- Good understanding of math
- Good physical condition and endurance
- High school diploma
- University degree not required but would be considered an asset
- Drivers License and own vehicle

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
