Yard Technician

AResponsibilities:

- Responsible for installing and removing portable gensets from the intermodal trailers.
- Conduct minor maintenance and repair work on the gensets to ensure they are in good working order prior to departure.
- Install/transfer telematic equipment in Class 8 power units and intermodal chassis.
- Perform minor repair work on the trailers primarily limited to replacement of lights, mudflaps, etc.
- Account for use of items/parts inventory.
- Report if there is any major damage on the trailer to the Equipment Coordinator or Manager of Equipment, Safety and Compliance.

**Requirements**:

- Previous mechnical experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
- AZ or Class 1 license is preferred.

- Weekends as needed

- Etobicoke, ON M9C 1B1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- warehouse: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person
