Administrator and Internal Auditor

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**:
This position is responsible to assist in developing, implementing, and auditing companywide policies and systems to verify that products are manufactured consistently and in accordance with the company, ISO and legislative standards. This position is also responsible provide ongoing support within the Quality departments overall scope of responsibility. In addition to the company’s document control system, the departments scope includes measurement and testing equipment, product inspection during various stages for conformance, identification, and handling of non-conforming material. Routine internal auditing also is key role and function of this position.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Administer GMI’s document control structure which includes document protection, retention, and storage
- Initiate, create, implement, and assist in maintaining company policies, procedures, and instructions
- Review process and department documentation to release products for distribution
- Complete reviews, and data entry of Supplier Reports and or Inspection Records
- Perform gauge verification/calibration/MSA studies of measuring instruments as planned
- Conduct company audits per schedule in relation to ISO standards, and customer requirements
- Assists with preparing the audit report, and checklists in addition to developing action plans if required.
- Maintain company Access databases, update and modify as needed.
- Coordinate PPAP submissions, including documentation in either AIAG or customer required formats.
- Assist in handling of customer issues, including containment, RCA, and implement corrective actions
- Retain all department documentation
- Collect and report monthly on variety of company measurables
- Provide support to HR/H&S team with assigning, and tracking company assigned training
- _In addition, the following responsibilities are also required when needed as back up support:_
- Support of product Inspection
- Handling of Non-Conforming Product including initiate sort reports, maintain NC and scrap records.
- Support Product ID & Traceability systems.

Glueckler Metal Inc., first established through trial and error in the family-owned garage back in 1985, is a family-owned operation that has evolved over the past 30+ years to become a world-class precision machining, high volume, SRC (Safety Related Components) parts supplier within the automotive and heavy transportation industries. Currently employing around 100 team members, much of our staff have become like family, many having served 20 or even 30 years with the company. The strength of our team to continuously overcome the challenges of our ever-changing industry forms the backbone of our organization. Over the years, GMI has acquired over 30 multi-spindle, multi-axis CNC Machining centers while continuously working towards automating processes to eliminate as many manual requirements from our staff base as possible.

With 4 set operational shifts, plus our office and administrative shifts, opportunities within various departments may become available. In 2021 especially, GMI has adopted the concept of establishing various departmental “teams” across the organization, consisting of members within different levels of the organization to meet regularly to discuss ongoing initiatives within each department.
