We have an opening for **an Insulation Cutter with 4+ years of experience **for our **Monday to Thursday, with four (4) 10 hour days.**

**About You**:
You prefer working in team settings and have good communication skills. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You will work in a very busy, output and quality focused team so must be highly adaptable, and able to manage changing priorities, with a positive attitude.

**What you Will Do**:
You will be part of a team of carpenters, helpers, and ABB Robots, working collaboratively under the guidance of the Production/Carpenter Leads and Manager, Production.

You will be responsible for cutting rockwool insulation with precision and accuracy, ensuring that all materials are prepared for the assembly team. This role demands a meticulous approach to measurement and cutting to meet the highest quality standards.

You will leverage your construction skills and meticulous attention to detail to refine and advance the processes used to pre-fabricate our envelope and floor cassette products. As we expand and grow, you may also be involved in the continuous development of infrastructure projects within the manufacturing facility.

You will primarily work indoors, shielded from the outdoor elements most of the day.

**Location**:
DELTA, BC - On-site full-time in a pre-fab mass-timber manufacturing facility

**Work Hours - A Shift**

Monday to Thursday

10 hours per day

**Onboarding**:
As we ramp up to a two-shift manufacturing facility, the onboarding and training period will be during a regular work week, Monday through Friday. If you have prior commitments, we will consider an alternative schedule to be discussed during the interview process.

Our current work schedule is Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm shift. **Shift A's schedule is targeted to start early to mid September.**

**The Responsibilities, include but not limited to**:

- Arrive punctually and ready for work, equipped with the necessary tools and materials to complete tasks efficiently.
- Set up safety measures, including proper ladder and safety equipment setup, and adhere to all safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Accurately measure, cut, and prepare Rockwool insulation to specified dimensions, ensuring precise cuts and proper material preparation for the assembly team.
- Calculate and assess material requirements based on project specifications. Prepare and organize insulation materials, including Rockwool, for efficient use in the assembly process.
- Operate cutting tools and machinery skillfully and safely, including any specialized equipment used for cutting Rockwool insulation.
- Set up and adhere to all safety measures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained in optimal working condition.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to guide cutting and preparation tasks.
- Ensure that all insulation materials meet quality standards and project specifications. Perform regular checks to confirm accuracy and precision in cutting.
- Work closely with the assembly team to ensure that prepared materials meet their requirements and support their workflow efficiently.
- Follow all health and safety rules, policies, and procedures meticulously.
- Collaborate effectively with others to meet project specifications and deadlines.
- Update the lead carpenter on task progress and issues, proposing solutions as needed.
- Follow instructions to ensure work meets specifications and quality standards.
- Help assign tasks to junior carpenters and provide support and guidance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve quality, and reduce waste.
- Contribute actively to team efforts, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Adhere to administrative policies and procedures as updated periodically.
- Complete other duties as we may request which are consistent with your abilities and responsibilities.
