The Prompt Clinic is an innovative program developed to provide short-term mental health assessment and treatment. At present, Prompt is funded until the end of the fiscal year, with active planning for an ongoing service. The interprofessional team of psychiatry, psychology, social work and nursing offer rapid access to emergent mental health concerns. Referrals to Prompt will be received through Primary Care Providers. All services will be provided virtually at this time but will transition to in-person in the future. This position is a combination of clinical and program evaluation work, with 20% of the FTE dedicated to evaluation duties.

**Duties**:

- Provide psychological assessment and treatment (individual)
- Function as an effective member of an interprofessional team
- Liaise and consult with relevant community agencies and service providers
- Administer and interpret standardized psychological assessment instruments
- Participate in academic activities including: supervision of pre-doctoral residents in psychology, practicum students, and non-registered psychology staff; supervise psychologists in supervised practice; teach medical interns and residents; and other health related disciplines
- Participation in hospital psychology and quality improvement requirements, as approved by management
- Attend Psychology discipline meetings and participate in discipline activities
- Maintain work load measurement and data collection as required
- Provide education with various stakeholders
- Coordinate care among internal and external service providers
- Write comprehensive discharge reports with follow up recommendations
- Utilize tele mental health and other distance technologies in the provision of services in outlying communities
- Build effective collaborative working relationships with stakeholders
- Demonstrate professional integrity through adherence to college and hospital guidelines for the practice of psychology, including; adherence to the Canadian Code of Ethics for psychologists, adherence to College of Psychologists of Ontario guidelines for registration, professional practice, professional development, supervision, communications and documentation of client contacts, as well as adherence to The Royal’s policies on timely completion of documentation and workload measurement.
- Design program evaluation and satisfaction surveys within clinic guidelines
- Carry out research including writing peer-reviewed grant proposals in keeping with the Program’s objectives, as approved by management
- Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of The Royal.
- Ensure a work environment that is conducive to The Royal’s Harassment-Free Workplace Policy

**Qualifications**:

- Doctorate from a CPA/APA Accredited Clinical Psychology Program
- Registration or eligible for Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario is mandatory. Autonomous practice is preferred, supervised practice will be considered. Authorized area of practice in Clinical Psychology mandatory. Authorized client population in Adults is mandatory. Competency with Couples an asset.
- CPA/APA accredited internship/residency (or equivalent) in clinical psychology
- Five years experience post PhD in clinical mental health an asset
- Mandatory clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of: anxiety and mood disorders, substance use disorders using evidence-based approaches
- Experience working in an interprofessional service delivery model is mandatory
- Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation principles and practices
- Excellent leadership and communication skills and ability to establish and maintain good working relations
- Commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement, Best Practices and Team Work
- Experience providing clinical services via OTN
- Valid G driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- English level A- is mandatory in oral comprehension, expression, reading, and writing. Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.

**Salary Range**:
